I just signed up for Channels Plus with the DVR setup. I'm using a Windows 10 HTPC as the DVR server and Nvidia Shields as the clients for watching live TV via FIOS and OTA. I'm currently subscribed to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and Hulu basic. I'm thinking of dropping FIOS TV and adding Hulu Live since it streams most of the channels we watch and record. My question is, how can I set this up so I can use Channels DVR to record from Hulu Live? I also want to be able to record from OTA as well. If I can record from Hulu Live, can I record more than one show simultaneously?
In the web app's /admin/settings page, under Basic Setup where you added your HDHR, click the "+ Add Source" button, select TV Everywhere, and then choose Hulu Live as your provider and enter your login credentials.
Seems to me you can record multiple shows up to whatever limit Hulu would set for simultaneous streams per account, and certainly can also record from OTA at the same time, but I don't have Hulu. If there were any issues, I bet they'll have been mentioned up thread here.
No, you can't record from Hulu live. Only the Tv everywhere websites they have access to.

Let's clarify that: you can record any Live TV channel accessible via your Hulu credentials, if that channel also offers a TVE web stream. That means most channels will work.
Thanks for all of the replies. I'm still trying to sort things out about Hulu Live. It appears that in order to record it using Channels DVR I need to be able to access it via TVE. Even then it can only be recorded in stereo.
Looking at Hulu Live, it appears that I'm already paying less for more channels with Verizon so I think I'll pass.
I've never been able to pencil out saving more than $20 a month switching to any of those services, because of the tier we need to be in to keep certain news and talk channels, and because unbundled internet would be more expensive. That little amount of savings is not worth the trade-off to 2-channel audio and all the technical annoyances. Sometimes the image looks washed-out compared to cable and OTA too.
Is anyone having issues getting Regional Sports Networks with Hulu Live? My login credentials give me access to NBC sports Washington. Credentials work with the NBC sports app but can’t seem to gain access when I use Hulu Live credentials for TV everywhere in Channels. Any help???
I ended up losing a bunch of channels overnight so I tried to delete and add the Hulu service again in the DVR software. When doing this, I am getting an authentication issue. I verified my login works directly on the channel websites to watch their programming and I can login to my account online.
I am on DVR version 2020.09.11.1741.

Did a bit of troubleshooting this morning. I noticed in another thread to make sure one could log into nbc.com/live and when I did, it failed trying to "authenticate with adobe" or something like that. So I disabled my vpn and then I could login there. Went back to Channels and then was able to add back in Hulu. Odd, since I've always had that VPN on previously.
I am not running a VPN just a NAT. Have been for 5 years.
Don’t know if anything was don’t by the Channels team or if it was an issue elsewhere. But everything is working again.

Thanks. I never thought to try for the local networks, because I'm very far from a "major metropolitan area", but when I enabled it in settings it gave me 2 more channels (NBC and ABC).

That seems consistent with what I receive on Hulu Live.
Hopefully Warner will stop being so stingy They did finally make outside viewing available on the Spectrum app, there might be hope.
There appears to be a problem with FS1/2 using TV Everywhere, although it could be a problem with the FS website. The log shows the error as 404 not found when scanning for channels, when I head to the fs1 website, hulu is listed in the providers I login just fine but the stream doesn't start. The error on the website shows "Opps Looks like were having trouble loading this video". Is anyone else having these problems?
