Provider - Philo

There is a link on aetv.com labeled "Watch Live TV" which goes to https://play.aetv.com/live

Re searched for the post when AE networks was discovered. i gues i forgot or got mixed up with something else. i see they said the watch live is how the found it. could have sworn it was go. something
however, for long tome before that, u all said, there was no such link....there is no indication as to when they added that to their sites i guess and yall just hadn't checked until someone posted the raw links.

Lots of people here have been emailing AE to ask them to add live streams for several months. They said it was coming soon. First they added it to their Roku app. Then they added it to their website, and someone found the new links. Once it was on their website we added it to our DVR.

I found a app that logs connections of apps. there is 4 ip address and what it resolves to listed, after logging in with Philo creds and launching live tv stream.
not sure if this is usefull at all. or if there is some other app that can detect far more connections that this random one i found in the Play store.

I know it is possible to raw capture VOD and live tv stream from the DF go app, as, while back, couple years ago now, someone was doing that to make rips of certain shows and shorts off of there, using ffmpeg on PC. i was shown that u have to break the HTTPS connection at some point, the app then spits a error with the full video stream urls and DRM key?..and put that into ffmpeg and it can pull the data. I even was successful doing it myself once. However, i did not keep that info

Hi all,

Jumping back into Channels now that I have a newer, faster Synology NAS...

I have everything installed correctly except for integrating Philo/TVe into the mix.

I add it as a source, enter in mu email to et the link for verification but get a "Context Cancelled" message. What do I do to fix that?

Thanks in advance. I am sure it's something dumb I forgot to do in setup somewhere but any help would be appreciated

(P.S. If I added this in the wrong forum, my apologies -- again, a re-newbie of sorts here... )

@CMart see Auth failed for Verizon: context canceled

That worked perfectly  Thank you!

I've seen posted in here a few places that Nickelodeon doesn't do TVE, but the Streamable site says otherwise - https://thestreamable.com/tv-everywhere-apps/nick-app Anyone had luck getting this to work in Channels DVR from any streaming service? I have Philo, so posting here.

Nick only has on-demand, no live stream.

NickJR is the only one with a TVE stream.

I have been unable to get Philo to work as a TVE source. I have successfully added Sling as a TV source, but Philo fails with a authn: Error 401. Not authorized message. I found Philo as a source in the Add TV Anywhere dialog box and submitted it. It requested my email address and I submitted that. I checked my mail account and clicked the link to approve the request. I was then advised that it was authorizing the account and it eventually failed with the above message. Here is the log of the attempt:

(I have redacted my email address).

I should add that the Fire TV Philo app DOES work and Philo also shows up as a source in FireTV's "Live" tab.

Does it work on watch.hgtv.com

Apparently the problem was using Brave with no scripts allowed on a different machine than the one Channels DVR server was installed. The clue was the test you suggested. It was coming up with a black screen when I first tried it.

It's working now. Thanks.

Hello everyone,

I am new to Channels and I have read just about every post on this board (several times) regarding Philo and getting their stations to work with the Channels DVR.

I do have several channels/networks working, so it’s not the “whole” Philo service that’s not working. (I have the exact issue with Sling too! I’ve removed them both and added only one or the other back with the same result.)

The “issue” is that there are several channels that we regularly watch that are not available as this is currently setup. A few of them are HGTV, Discovery, TBS, TCM, DIY, Hallmark, HallmarkMM, Food, and others that I’m not so concerned with. As I’ve read through the posts discussing channels that will work with Channels DVR, I believe most of these are included as “working”?

Here is what I’ve done so far:

  • Rebooted server/ computer
  • Upgraded Channel DVR app to latest version (2020.10.16.1640)
  • Deleted and added Philo app (and Sling) several times (logged in/verified with code each time)
  • Used the “Edit button to check networks available, and rescanned the individual missing channels
  • Again, read all the Philo posts several times

The message I have next to the missing channels is “notAuthorized”

Can anyone help me with this? I don’t know what else to do…… I’m at my wits end and ready to drop the Channels app if I can’t get this fixed (which I do NOT want to do! :frowning:) I’m trying to cut the Spectrum cord at the beginning of November, so trying to get this working.

Thank you!! I appreciate any assistance that you can provide!!!

If you go to https://tbs.com/watchtbs/east in chrome incognito, can you login with Philo and watch?

TBS,TCM, FOOD or any Warner media channel TVE is not supported by Sling or any other live Streaming service.

I started testing moving Channels DVR from Qnap to windows, I setup Philo and it scanned 99 channels (two more then my QNAP and one extra local channel). So I hit rescan on my QNAP install of DVR and now it has 66 channels. The channels I'm supposed to have either say Login not Authorized, or Login not supported.

Now neither install of Channels DVR has all the channels (one has 62 and the other 60) and all the semi-premium channels are locked out. Is this a IP blocking issue from Philo or the TVE provider? How can I reset what I did and get one, working, Channels DVR with 90+ channels.

I've deleted and readded philo as a provider, rebooted, etc.. I'm missing recordings until I get it fixed. Please help @tmm1

Which channels aren't you getting
