Sling has always had poor TVE options, which I am told is part of the reason it can be cheaper than Fubo, YTTV, etc. another big part is the lack of locals. I enjoy the TVE as "freebies" (mostly FS1 for racing), have an HDHR and antenna for locals, and use the ADBtuner project to record the rest of Sling. Works very well.
if you are someone who uses something like ADB Tuner you will have a better experience with Channels.
NBC and fox left TVE long ago.
I have tested Sling using my 4k onn box and ADB Tuner and it works great.
I'm on YTTV and it works great.
The use of channels will require a bit of work but once it is setup, you won't have to do much with it.
I've often thought of moving to Sling but i like what i have here and it seems to work great.
I expect Sling TV to go away (or radically change), soon after if this goes through. Just like Dish acquired and then later shutdown Republic Wireless.
I have SlingTV TVE Set up.
The CNN Live TV Stream is not in the guide but I can access it at https://www.cnn.com/videos/live using my YouTubeTV Credentials but not using my SlingTV Credentials.
The MSNBC Live TV Stream is not in guide but I can access it at MSNBC Live: Stream the latest TV shows using My SlingTV Credentils but not my YouTubeTV Credentails.
Any work-arounds? Due to the recent YTTV price increase I'm trying to go with SlingTV going forward.
Search the forms here, SlingTV is the WORST for TVE access. They probably do not offer TVE for those channels u want.
There are other options, like ADBTuner, chrome capture, HDMI encoder etc. all u can find pretty easy via this community forms search.
also, use this thread for Sling TV source talk
Provider - Sling TV - Channels DVR Server / TV Everywhere - Channels Community
SlingTV doesn't offer TVE access to CNN
See https://getchannels.com/docs/channels-dvr-server/tv-everywhere/availability/#slingtv
All NBCU channels (including MSNBC) were removed April 2023 due to DRM
Thanks for putting me in the right place..
I'll search for ADBTuner, chrome capture, HDMI encoder and take a look there. I realized I already have MSNBC via the NBC channels but for whatever reason it isn't showing up in the guide.
I'm looking to drop YTTV because it is now $84 and Sling is much less, especially if I dust off my HDHR Quad Tuners for the locals. I do need a spectrum of news streams and can easily watch them on the native Sling App if the ADBTuner, chrome capture, HDMI encoder solutions don't pan out.
Would someone with Sling using TVE check and see if FS1 is still available? I just resubscribed (for FS1) and I'm not able to add it permissions] (and the Channels TVE chart doesn't show it) when I've had no trouble for the last few years.
Working here. Try re scanning channels.
Can you authenticate with your Sling TV credentials and watch it at Watch FS1 Live | Stream Games & Shows on FS1 | FOX Sports
Click SIGN IN (on the left) then TV Provider Sign In
I can login/authenticate with the browser to the site. Scanning with Channels gets me: not entitled: mvpd: Resource is not supported by MVPD
Did you try rescanning just that one channel in Channels DVR?
Manage lineup. Click scan. Click Rescan.
Spins.

Are you getting all green in Support > Troubleshooting
All green.
If you're running the latest Pre-Release, I would submit diagnostics.
You can try these TVE Troubleshooting tips
Updated to latest pre-release (was only 1 version off) and no change.
Submitted diagnostics/ticket to support.
