Provider - T-Mobile -- TVision Log In Issues

Yes. I spoke with supervisor earlier today. Shara said outside due date for solution is targeted for Feb 28th. Of course, rep said they will make every effort to resolve way before then and rep will call me again tomorrow with status update. Losing hope... TMM is there anything you can do on your end or are we at the mercy of T-Mobile for a solution?

Is there an easy way to get to the correct department?

Call 611 — don’t let them transfer you to TVision tech support, request to speak to someone in tier 2 instead. Once you get to 2 they’ll create a ticket or transfer you to tier 3. Tier 3 doesn’t seem to have any additional resources, so not sure if a ticket coming from them gets higher priority.

The rep I spoke with last night mentioned that they had some sort of system update on the TVision side on 2/14, which aligns with everyone having issues starting on Sunday. Not sure if she was telling me that to make me feel better, but it’s definitely something on their end for TVision. Though I hope we’re not at The mercy of T-Mobile because they will never fix this.

FYI.

Just updated to the latest Pre-release and TV everywhere seems to be working again. My channels are scanning in now. Not sure if the channels developers fixed an issue or it was fixed on T-visions end.

Still a no go for me.

Which version is this?

Actually, I just updated to 2021.02.19.0137 and I’m still having issues.

I was able to submit a support ticket. They told me it will take 3 days.

Is there a way to make the error window interactive, so that we can just click/use the 2FA it’s requesting? I know the Hulu sign in requires that captcha nonsense, which I’m able to click and move past, so why not T-Vision?

If you're getting noise/pushback from 611 to remove 2fa, try reaching out to tforce on twitter (or facebook).

I had T-Vision for a few weeks and had some trouble getting Indiana U basketball games, so I ditched it and went with Hulu Live for $86/month (until basketball is over). With Channels and Huku Live I get about 130 TVE Channels. How many TVE channels are available on Channels with T-Vision?

Kalihusband - How did you get your screen to get past the 2FA "screenshot"? I am on the latest Channels pre-release as well (as of this morning, 2/19) and I can only get to the "screenshot" that offers the 3 options (txt, email, etc.). I call it a "screenshot" because there is no way to choose a selection and get beyond that point.

tmm1: How come Kailhusband can get beyond this point but others can't? Any clue? Would submitting diagnostics to you help? I am using Safari browser. Would using a different browser help?

Just noticed that the "screenshot" that comes up for me now is slightly different. "Fingerprint or Face ID" option no longer presents. I'm pretty sure T-Mobile rep did something yesterday at my account level to make this option disappear on this "screenshot" but the other two options remain (text, e-mail). Still can't choose an option though... still need someone to do something to fix this issue.

I didn’t do anything additional. I just downloaded the pre-release and attempted to add T-Vision again. The 2fa screen never popped up for me. After about 30 seconds it just starting scanning for channels. I never contacted T-vision support. Perhaps Channels developers did something or I just got lucky this time. My DVR is running on a Windows PC and I used safari on IPhone to add T-vision source.

I did notice that I did receive the 2fa email with the verification code when I added T-vision. But I have no idea how it got past that screen without me having to authenticate.

Interesting. I didn't know you could add a source from iPhone - thought it could only be done on a PC or Mac. Thanks for that info.

I just tried using the Firefox browser on my Mac and got a slightly different result. Still got a "screenshot". But this time it says "Sorry, something you entered does not match our records. Please try again." The "screenshot" is now at the T-Mobile Log In screen and states that Cable provider authentication failed. However, it has failed for a different reason. This time it seems to have cut off the last character of my e-mail address (i.e. last char "m" of the .com). Unfortunately, I can't correct the entry (similar to Safari) because it's just a screenshot.

Chrome browser behaved the same way as Safari browser on a Mac. Tried on iPhone but I couldn't find the option to add a source via iPhone.

Kalihusband: What version of ChannelsDVR are you using to add a source via iPhone? I only see options for "Adjust Source Priority", "Scan Network for Tuners" and "Add Tuner". No option to "Add a Source" like on Mac (or PC).

Access your DVR's web UI in Safari. You cannot add sources in the client app (other than discovered HDHR network tuners).

That's what I thought. However, Kalihusband seems to be saying that source was added via iPhone. Perhaps I am misunderstanding the earlier comment. However, Kalihusband seemed to get past the 2FA issue. Perhaps Kalihusband's account doesn't have 2FA on their T-Mobile account.

Yes, I used the web interface on my phone. My T-Vision account does have 2fa turned on. As I previously stated, I even received the e-mail with the authorization code. I don’t know how it got past that screen. Like I said, maybe luck. I have no idea.

Kalihusband: Thanks so much for the clarification. Much appreciated. I tried to access and add source using my Safari browser on my iPhone but I got the same fail as I did on my Mac. Thus, it must have something to do with my T-Mobile account.

BTW, if anyone else tries to do it this way, they may have better luck than I did. However, you have to directly point to your server in your iPhone browser. In other words, don't type 127.0.0.1:8089. Put your Channels DVR server instead followed by :8089. Otherwise, you can't get to your server.
