Failed to record On Patrol Live and First Shift. Can not tune either.
All other Philo provided TVE channels tune fine (REELZ worked fine last week)

EDIT: Live stream on their website works.

They shut the TVE feed down.

They are pushing people to the plus subscription.

For some reason, it fails to login with Edge, I tried FireFox, and i can log and stream Reelz LIVE just fine.

The live website feed is working fine (in FireFox) after logging into Provider like Philo.
So, they moved the source of the Live stream, or, now, if it is behind Reelz+, it is a new change some time in the last few days.
Does NOT seem to have DRM on the web stream, as IDM and a few other Livestream capture plugins i have, can download the stream fine.
So, hopefully, the Channels devs can restore Reelz.

The feed is stable. Probably best to make a custom channel and enjoy.
I'm hoping they don't add DRM. I'm a plus member and i'm glad to have it.
Joined before FRNDLY added it.

Think i figured it out. To add a custom channel for the web stream of REELZ
Looking at page source, there is this

There is also this, that IDM extension exposes, seems that u can change the number to be the resolution, 720, 540, and 216)

Whatever link Channels was using before, it was 1080p for resolution. This this new link is max 720p.

Hopefully, Channels devs can figure out something, to restore the previous stream source, or find a way to use this one, if possible. (maybe find something i missed for a 1080 stream)?

thank you for this, been wanting REELZ to be added to YouTubeTV, so far not so much...
so when I added as a source, clicked on it it opened a browser and played (iPad) (ok yes!)
is it possible to have it play within the channels app (think aptv)...
also may I have the settings for getting the guide correct and channel logo to match?

REELZ Now shutdown, only access via REELZ+ now. How do I add the channel via REELZ+?

for the purposes of TVE and channels, they will need to remove Reelz from TVEverywhere and you will need to setup the link in Channels until it gets DRM added eventually.
If channels were set to where you had to be a reelz plus member before accessing the stream, it might be something or set things up to where you use the tv provider log in.
They won't just add the stream.

When OPL launched on Reelz, the TVE stream was a much lower quality 720p. It was terrible compared to Live PD on A&E tve. At some point a year or so ago, Reelz stream got upgraded to 1080p and a higher bitrate. Now, with their switch to a paid service, it got downgraded back to a poorish quality 720p stream. And they expect u to pay for that???

Anyways, that link is hardcoded in their website on various pages, including public facing ones before you login. But I suppose it’s only a matter of time before they either remove those links or add DRM.

Yes, that’s what I meant since it seems to have the same user provider logon tve I would think they would not have a problem to add that. Then again that public link to that stream is hardcoded in their website and anyone that knows how to use inspect source or browser inspector can find it.

How does one get the proper channel logo and guide date for REELZ?

In this example the Bravo channel logo and data are accurately displayed and when selected it opens nbc app and off to races .
