Can actually confirm that if you use the Cox-Spectrum selection instead of the Spectrum selection, this should work. It's very strange with each provider website/app what it wants. Hate to make TVE login more complicated for you, but it might be worthwhile to be able to override the provider per source. That might also help people who have multiple TVE sources and each one might get something different.
I'm not sure they can do anything; it seems like Spectrum is doing some blocking upstream that has to be cleared out, and the only cure is time. I basically did the same thing as you because I was able to get some other stuff working and wanted to test it out, and ended up with 20 stations on timeout. Guess I'll have to try to manually scan them again in a day or two!
EDIT: I have submitted diagnostics to the Devs, just in case. As an example, I was able to log into TCM's website no problem manually, but the same scan fails when I did it immediately afterwards. The only difference is the machine I'm on, otherwise same network/external IP.
I tried switching providers from COX to spectrum within channels and it was a big no go with a spectrum splash screen.
However, I was able to revive my 20 missing channels or so today, by using the "update password" under the source manage page. I did not change the password, I just put the same one back in and saved it. Then the rescan went through
