TVE - Hulu Not Authenticating

I had to remove and re-add Hulu for TVE yesterday. I have been consistently gotten: Hulu Login

I know my userid and password are correct, I have been able to login via the same browsers (Chrome and Safari) on the side. I know I completely the CAPTCHA correctly. Done this several times. Consistently drops to the "Cable provider authentication failed".

Any ideas?

Since it is failing at the first attempt, which is NBCU, have you separately tried that specific site yet? Maybe try visiting nbc.com/live in a private/incognito window and authenticating there, ensuring there are no residual cookies that you may be unaware of.

(I know you said it worked in the browser, but a methodical and documented start-from-scratch troubleshooting process can be helpful, and is a good first step.)

Found the issue. Hulu choose to change my subscription level to no longer include TVE. Which is my I could login to the site directly, as my HULU service was still there, just not TVE. Had to change my subscription level back.

Hulu is up to their password shenanigans again.
They keep telling me my password is invalid.
Can't get TVE working again.

Not sure why I put up with this.
(Hulu that is, the channels folks are cool in my book)

Had Hulu Live working for TVE for a while. Kept getting auth emails every week but it would self heal. Deleted Hulu Live TVE source, re-added, could not authenticate and it timed out showing me the screen that its waiting for a password. I upgraded to stable pre-release and just tried again. and failed again. I'm getting emails asking for a code. Here is the log output:

I should add that I've been running the "latest:tve" image that was chosen when I set channels up on docker via portainer. I Know Hulu has a bad reputation, but I moved my channels to docker a few weeks ago so I could have access to the TVE optimized version and I was shocked when I was able to add Hulu Live TVE as a tuner. I've made the mistake of doing a rescan to try and pick a few channels that failed the 1st time (87 DID work), and in doing do each time I try and remove then add a Hulu TVE tuner, I get the dreaded emails asking me to enter a 6 digit code (I thought the TVE version of the image fixed the headless chrome thing). Any insight would be appreciated.

You also need to make sure you're running the latest pre-release.

As mentioned above I upgraded to latest release this afternoon and it still failed.

What version number are you running?
There is no "Stable" "Pre-Release". It's one or the other.

If I were you I would try to install an older backup that had Hulu working. This will at least get the source back in. They may not authorize but there is a chance for a self heal that way.

Never ever ever delete Hulu as a source once it is in there. It won’t help and will just make things worse as you are now seeing.

This is fixed. The user that pointed me to TVE troubleshooting tips got me there. I logged into DVR and Watch the NBC Live Stream - NBC.com from incognito browser, then added the TVE Hulu tuner. The auth happened, no emails from Disney asking about an MFA code. I did get a MVPD already registered error after it completed and the TVE tuner was not there. I restarted the channels container and then the Hulu TVE tuner appears with 95 channels. Some are not connected, but the ones not connected are the ones we expect not to work. I really needed Food and Discovery and they work fine now. THANK YOU!
