Verizon tve login problems

Sam problem here. I can't get the CBS, NBC, ABC locals with TVE. I use to get CNN International but no more

The only locals left (non-DRM) available in Channels DVR are CBS and some FOX stations

That stream and HLN were taken down

TVE in Channels got CBS months ago, Not now

See https://getchannels.com/docs/channels-dvr-server/tv-everywhere/locals/#cbs

Did you try rescanning locals?

It brought up a cbs local but wont open

Thanks though !

Hi - I'm brand new with Channels, setting things up for the first time. I installed the server on a Mac Mini, and am now trying to add TV Everywhere as a source. We are Verizon Fios subscribers, but I can't get past this "Cable provider authentication failed" error. Any suggestions?

Incidentally, I can sign into tv.verizon.com in the browser and watch video from verizon, so that should at least verify I have access (??)

See TVE Troubleshooting tips
If you're using the latest pre-release DVR server and DVR Diagnostics pass with green checkmarks
I would submit diagnostics and keep trying (maybe a temporary Verizon auth server issue).

So I ran diagnostics and submitted - will wait to hear back - though I'm not on the pre-release version. Is there some reason to switch to that and try again?

The pre release has the fix in it

Only if you want the fix now.
Otherwise wait for the next release version (could be months).

Thanks for popping in with your suggestions. However, I just updated to today's build and it still doesn't work unfortunately.

BTW I called Verizon, not helpful. I also tried both Safari and Chrome... no difference.

Have you tried doing what Channels DVR does?
Go to a network website and try to authenticate with Fios and stream.

It’s a Verizon problem that’s been happening for weeks. Verizon login won’t work on TVE sites.

Send an email to that address in the error.

I tried that - going to NBC - and it worked.

Using Chrome from your Mac Mini?

How did you get to that page itself? Seems it'd be good for me to submit my own incident ID...

Yes - although a caveat is I think it recognizes my network, that we're Verizon customers. As soon as I hit Verizon amongst the list of providers, I'm in. It does not prompt for username/password.

I have channels on my UNRAID and it won't login. I wanted to see if i added channels to my QNAP would it work and first try it logged in and pulled in all Verizon channels so i dont know what's happening, also i downloaded channels to my mac laptop to test Verizon there and it got the error message.

Do you have an updated Chrome browser on your mac laptop

Go to nbc.com or abc.com or any network site and log in with your Verizon account. It won’t work.

Tv.verizon.com is not the same thing and it’s irrelevant in channels.
