Local content versus strmlnk

If there is local content (an mp4) and a strmlnk to a streaming service with that same title is there a way to ask channels to prioritize one over the other rather than to show both in the movie library.

It would be great if Channels could display movies in such a way that you only see one poster for one movie that has two different resolutions. Then, when you are ready to watch the movie there is a drop down selector of some kind to choose which version you want to watch, ie. 1080 or 4K. This is how it works in Emby and Plex. I am not sure how difficult that is to achieve on the programming side but it would clean up the UI quite a bit.

Channels needs to differentiate when there are 2 or more of the same Movie!

We totally understand this and want to get to a point where we're combining movies, but it's complicated. But we plan to get to it this year. For now, you should have metadata that shows on the movie view. Are you using Android? I think it's not showing some tags, which is incorrect. It should show HD, 4K, Atmos, etc. so that you CAN tell the difference. I'll look into it.

They didn't get to it last year (2023). Maybe this year (2024)?

Also looking for it with shows. For example, I record PBS Masterpiece theater with OTA but the OTA antenna for PBS is flakey at best in my area. Therefore, I strmlnk also. Would like those combined into one option that could be selected.
