Hi are there any plans to add this feature to the EPG. I think its a glaring omission to the current version

Pretty sure i has been requested before.
I too really cold use this, one major useablity thing i miss from my old Comcast cable box
I have been using the web sever Guide page, as that has the option to change day easy.

Maybe a response from the developers would help clear up this issue. To me it's a feature of every good EPG. Also a life time pass would be a good idea. Im in England and get charged stupid banks fees for currency exchange rate makes the cost around
10% extra for me

Apple TV Guide - Day Selection

Is there a way to select a specific day within the TV Guide? I notice the web based guide on the DVR admin area has the option. I only ask as sometimes, it is nice to view the 7PM to 10PM slot on various days, just to see if there is anything on that would be nice to record. The only way I see doing it at the moment is by continuously swiping right. By the way, I have been using this service for 1 day now, and I am already really impressed with it. Great work.

Feature request: + - 1 day in guide data buttons

Please could we get two buttons added to the guide data view on the web UI for DVR - to go forward and backward 1 day in the guide data for a given time slot? E.g. to go from today 6pm to tomorrow 6pm. I primarily watch and record during the evenings in the week so when I browse the guide, I want to browse the whole week one day at a time but only looking at the evening slot and this would make that easier than selecting from the drop down menu each time. Thanks!

Jump 1 or Few Days on Guide Grid

Scheduling advance recording for next few days on Apple TV or iOS is painful. Scrolling the guide for next 3 days or more would take 10 to 20 swpies to get to target day. I know you can do this on the WebUi. But it would have been so much easier and nicer if we could do this on Apple TV or iPad interface without going back and forth on my PC's browser and Apple TV. Can the developers consider this feature?

Guide Skip ahead 1 day

Hi, would it be possible to add a keymap to skip a full day ahead forward (and back) in the Guide view?

Feature request: Day forward and back in the guide

I like surfing through the guide to see what’s on, but 90% of the TV I record is between 8pm and 11pm at night, and sometimes I just want to view what’s on then on a day-by-day basis. I was wondering if the AppleTV remote could be set up such that a top-right or top-left click goes backwards and forwards in one day increments? I’m posting here rather than in the Channels ATV forum, which might seem like the more natural place, as the non-DVR people generally can’t see that far forward in the g…

Feature Request:Live Guide Pull Down Menus for Day and Time Frame

In the Live TV Guide Display please add pull down menus for Day and Time Frame. Day choices like Today, Tomorrow, Wed. Thurs., etc. Time Frame choices like Early Morn., Morn., Mid Day, Evening, Prime Time, Night, Late Night . Thanks.

if you ask me, all those requests...dating back well over a year...don't seem they have any plans to add it as of yet....sometime in the future maybe

i use emby as secondary guide, as it has a much better and capable search feature that can read into the shows content description, not just title.

Emby does not support TVE though.
But there is a thread somewhere on how to use Channels DVR as a tuner for Plex/Emby.
u can do that, if you really want the Emby GUI experience, but, then you will have to pay for use of the 2 softwares.

I have been asking for this feature, the current way of browsing is so frustrating that I have already given up using Channels to record, which makes this App 1/2 baked and unusable in terms of scheduling recording. The developers don’t care at all. They don’t at least let us know they could put on roadmap or prioritize. Anyway...

This will happen when we redesign the Guide tab and make it consistent across Android and Apple TV. We skipped the Guide for 4.0/3.0 releases because there are only so many hours in a day and we wanted to get the release out.

This is good to hear. Does this mean the vertical tick indicating the current time on tvOS will make an appearance on iOS/iPadOS and Android? Or maybe a more noticeable indicator?

Are you crazy? The devs do care. Your paying $6.50-8 per month for all you get. Plus they actually participate here and answer questions. Do you know how many different platforms they are trying to continuously support?

No the service is not perfect and there are features I would like added. But I understand what I'm paying for and understand this is a small company.

Try adding some value instead of just but bitching!

I got a show that I really wanted to record, I tried to do a three-day advance schedule and tried to see if the latest version has incorporated this feature request. Sigh...it’s still not there after few years ...it’s so hard to do advanced scheduling with the current app and UI design. I just wish that there’s a down arrow to pull down a monthly calendar for us to jump to any date we want like one week or 2 weeks in advance. I am so scared to do an advance scheduling if it’s longer than two days, I have to put a reminder to remind myself to schedule next day so I don’t have to browse Channels EPG guide with dozen clicks to go beyond 2 days. Is it possible to tease us a timeline so I can have a slight hope?

Unfortunately, I didn’t know the name of the show, my kid just told me the date and time and couldn’t tell me the name. There could be situations that users don’t know the name of the show.

Channels is lacking when it comes to search and guide functions compared to others software.

I hope they one day can make it as functional as Emby is.
I can easy change days, can click on each channel and see just the programs and time slots for that channel only....search by series name, episode title, episode description, ..so many options.

I don’t think this is their priority right now, probably never will. In software development, usability is usually one of the top priorities; especially from the UI design perspective. But it looks like expanding platforms support and maintaining features parity among so many platforms are of more importance. I came from software industry, one of the biggest challenges is to maintain bug fixes and feature parity across multiple platforms. Before, It could take just few weeks to implement new features for 1 platform. As more platforms added on the roadmaps, it would take years, sometimes it would never happen because of the cost and headcount.
